the love of my life & the boy i'll miss the most.

ahlan wa sahlan, annyong, hello! this journal is for my family & friends so that they can keep up with my adventures in seoul where i will be teaching for a whole year. i'm excited & scared & nervous & a whole lot more but hopefully my jitters will smooth out over time! & regardless of if i'm curled up in a corner of my room crying, i promise to update you with what's going on ;)

if you're wondering what my name is all about well golly, i'll tell you! it has everything to do with my mom (the coolest woman in the whole entire world!) who i love very very much and who i will miss more than anything. ruth and irma are our nicknames for each other that we got from the greatest movie of all time, 'normal', otherwise known as our favourite movie ever! (tra la la, twiddly dee dee...)

so i hope you enjoy what will most likely be a lot of rambles & promise to keep in touch with me because i'm going to miss you all so very very much.

& yes, i realize i'll be teaching english & you'd assume i'd be "grammatically correct" & all, but you'll never find me using proper capitalization because well, i love lower case letters.
